February 2026 Adaptive Games: 6 and Counting

This post is my first in this year of chaos, that is, 2026, but I will go into that in a separate post. As for what this post is about, it's my experience in my sixth Adaptive Games since starting this tradition in September 2023.

The list of current event locations is thus:

  • St Albans

  • Kidderminster

  • Southampton

  • Solihull

  • Northampton

  • Grays (marked as London as it's the closest city)

As per my year-in-review for 2025, my father was unable to participate alongside me in this year's first AG, with another partner who was also called George taking the vacant spot, which worked to my advantage, as one thing that I wasn't expecting was to, after a vetting process due to some scoring errors, obtain a gold medal, my first one in 6 events.

One downside to this situation was that soon after I returned from the event, I was diagnosed with a minor chest infection and put on a 5-day course of antibiotics.

Aside from that, my Instagram will be updated with some pictures of the event in due course, which should be viewable below this post.

Thank you for reading,

I'll see you on the other side.

George Barrett
