Japan, Death & Change

Hello all, so as you've heard; things have been constantly shifting after the untimely passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II earlier in September; for more information on this, view this post: https://www.mytrainofthought.co.uk/post/a-tribute-queen-elizabeth-ii

But this isn't about that situation; one thing that I want to say, is that I'm only now starting to understand that change can impact oneself in many ways; from personal growth to firmly realising that I can make my own decisions; which was reflected in my decision to essentially shift from education to working to my own terms; and that should've been fine, if things were easy; but that is clearly wishful thinking.

From how everything was planned from 13th September 2022; I was due to fly from London via Dubai to Osaka Kansai for a 3 week holiday in Japan, but that was unfortunately postponed due to problematic visa issues due to the current COVID situation within the country, however from this, I saw a golden opportunity to better myself physically, mentally and generally as a person.

To clarify this; no I am not angry at the change that's occurred, I am just uneasy about having to adapt to the situation, but I am willing to work hard on improving myself, as for me; Persistency is the key. That's my own personal mantra.

Thank you all for reading this.

I'll see you on the other side.

George Barrett
