EDITORS NOTE: I’m so sorry that my blog has just gone dry for 2 months, as I was consumed by college work...

So... When we left off, I was regaling the ‘great’ memories I had in HACH; (Obviously I’m lying through my teeth, have you seen my previous post haha?) But yeah, September through December 2018 came and went, before a tragedy struck my family on 6th January 2019, 5 days into the New Years celebrations; my Nan (Shirley Monk) passed away from a stroke bought on by advancing dementia.

This of course put a damper on my mood; of which I’m still feeling the effects of 2 years in, I’d held myself together up until the 18th of January, when the funeral was due to take place: That was the day that ‘George’ stopped feeling; ever since; I’ve just been trying to find a soul who connects with me on the same level that Shirley did.

2020 was the year of the lockdowns in England, after a rapid spike in the Wuhan Flu, Kung Flu or just simply the coronavirus. (known as COVID-19 or SARS-nCoV2). (The Wuhan Flu, Kung Flu and the likewise namesakes were built on existing and current racial prejudice towards Asian people or those with Asian features).

My shift to a blended learning approach within my college studies, meant that I was partially working on the software: Microsoft Teams for 1/3 of my schedule; attending classes rounding out the other 2/3.

My final project is composed of two parts: a resin subuteo of my form, displaying my likes and interests, tethered to the idea of mental health and gender. The other part is a plaster bat of my form embossed with words reflecting my personality; for example: Anxious, awkward, unique etc.
